BE&D started in a Brooklyn loft, where the founders hammered studs into lambskin by hand. The Garbo, a bell-shaped satchel with hundreds of studs, landed at Bergdorf and Neiman Marcus and became one of the defining bags of the 2000s. Punk, but polished.
